WIREBIRD RECORDS

Borrowing from the Leonard Cohen lyric that inspired the namesake, WireBird Records was created to give a home to a selective roster of artists trying, in their way, to be free.

Free of what?

Perhaps free of the rigid limitations perpetuated by the ever-shortening attention spans of our algorithmic modern culture.

Free to make music on their own terms, without interference from an outdated supply and demand model which can wreak havoc on the creative process.

Perhaps it’s the breaking free of the psychological chains from which their art provided catharsis, to travel new artistic territory.

And, practically speaking, they are free of a conventional label.

WBR imposes no red tape, serving fundamentally as a collective, a vehicle for those music projects produced at it’s umbrella company, WireBird Productions, to soar to greater heights, together.

Simple. Transparent. Freeing.

Like a bird on a wire.
